Resources:
Visit the state License Verification page and search by first/last name. Designations are as follows:
  • CS = Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License (12 Hour)
  • CSFA = Restricted (One/Two Family Dwellings) Construction Supervisors License (10 Hour)
  • CSSL = Specialty Construction Supervisors License: Masonry, Roofing, Windows/Siding, Demolition, Solid Fuel Burning Appliances, and Insulation (6 Hour)
As outlined on Mass.gov, "A licensed construction supervisor must acquire a certain number of continuing education hours each 2 year renewal period based upon license category as identified below:

> Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License (12 Hours)
> Restricted (One/Two Family Dwellings) Construction Supervisors License (10 Hours)
> Specialty Construction Supervisors License (6 Hours):
  • Masonry
  • Roofing
  • Windows / Siding
  • Demolition
  • Solid Fuel Burning Appliances
  • Insulation
The Massachusetts Department of Public Safety will mail you a renewal form - to the address they have on file - approximately 30-60 days prior to your license expiration date (i.e. birthday). If you did not receive, or have misplaced your renewal form, you may request a new one here.

As far as the renewal process goes, you have two options:
  • Mail in your renewal items (you'll need the renewal form referenced above - which provides instructions on how to proceed).
  • Submit your renewal items online via the state's eRenewal Portal (renewal form NOT needed for this approach).

Visit the Rules and Regulations of the State of Georgia page for detailed information. License designations are as follows:
  • Residential Basic (contractor work for detached one/two family residences, and one family townhouses not over 3 stories in height - as well as accessory buildings and structures. No individual project size limitations exist.
  • Residential Light Commercial (contractor work covering "residential basic," plus work for multi-family/multi-use light commercial buildings/structures, and their related accessory buildings and structures. Such building/structures must be less than 4 stories high AND less than 25,000 square feet in aggregate interior floor space. Buildings/structures are constructed of wood or light gauge meal frame, brick veneer, prefabricated, or manufactured type of construction. Building/structures may also be pre-engineered steel not exceeding 50,000 square feet of interior floor space. For exemptions, please contact the Georgia Construction Industry Licensing Board.
  • Commercial General Contractors (unlimited for both type of work and contracts eligible to bid on. License covers private, commercial, institutional, industrial, public, and other buildings/structures - but does NOT include HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Low Voltage, or Utility Contracting.
As listed on rules.sos.state.ga.us, "For the 2014 renewal and thereafter, an applicant for renewal of his or her residential license must have completed 3 hours of acceptable continuing education each year for a Residential Basic license and 6 hours of continuing education each year for a Residential Light Commercial license, with a year being July 1st through June 30th."
