Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for this role is a reliable and dependable team member, and will have experience working in a fast-paced environment while putting safety first
- Valid Massachusetts hoisting / hydraulics license
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Strong communication skills, housekeeping skills, and attention to detail are a must
- At least 2 years experience operating heavy machinery

Responsibilities
- Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm and every Saturday 7:30am - 12pm
- Loading and unloading: Loading/unloading trucks full of material; mostly scrap metal
- Operating: Operating machinery according to instructions, starting it, and making adjustments to improve performance
- Maintaining: Performing routine checks on equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing maintenance to ensure it operates safely and effectively
- Inspecting: Inspecting machinery for safety issues and defects, and sampling outputs to ensure quality control
- Reporting: Following reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and immediately reporting any problems to a supervisor
- Cleaning: Cleaning machinery and maintaining cleanliness in the work area
- Operating equipment including material handlers, front loaders, excavators, forklifts, etc
- Upholding the health & safety protocols to ensure you, team members, and customers are safe around the heavy machinery
- Ensuring strong communication with onsite Scale Inspector, Retailer, and Supervisor as well as customers and truck drivers that are bringing material to our property
- Maintaining, inspecting, and cleaning all equipment
- Keeping your work area and facility grounds clean and organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
