Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have strong background in supervising commercial construction and capable of self performing carpentry related scopes as required
- At least 5 years of experience in site supervision of commercial building construction with attention to detail and focus on quality
- OSHA 30 hour trained
- Mass Construction Supervisor’s License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities
- Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Purpose at Seaver Construction: Completes construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and subordinates
- Manages sub-contractors by assisting in locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance
- Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction operational improvements
- Meets construction schedule by assisting in development and implementation of the project schedule
- Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; identifying out of scope work or changed conditions in a timely manner
- Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; allocating resources; scheduling and coordinating staff and sub-contractors; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; assists in resolving design problems; evaluating and implementing change orders
- Approves subcontractors’ work by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining approvals from the client
- Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations
- Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
- Enhances organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Is familiar with the Company’s Health and Safety Plan
- Seeks to promote proper practices to protect the health and safety of the Project Personnel and the Public
- Leads by example in proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Promotes a culture of safety on the jobsite
- Holds toolbox talks on a regular basis
- Notes and corrects safety infractions on the jobsite immediately to prevent incidents
- Guides and directs Subcontractors to perform their tasks following the Company’s required safety practices
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment
