  • Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of snow plowing & removal operations
  • Available on a 24/7 basis
  • Technical aptitude toward equipment used
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Speak, read, and write English
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational Certification
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating similar equipment
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid Massachusetts Hoisting license as applicable
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • repeatedly through an entire work shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires good manual dexterity
  • Excellent stamina is required
  • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
  • Responsibilities

  • The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include: front end loader, skid steer, tenant sweeper, Kubota tractor & attachments
  • Operator will use the equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include snow removal, parking lot cleanup & landscape maintenance client sites
  • Respond in a timely manner when called or texted to assist in winter operations
  • Operate assigned equipment during winter events to clear snow and ice
  • Ensure that areas under responsibility are adequately and safely cleared
  • Communicate completion of duties to site manager
  • Understand and be committed to providing services that meet and/or exceed standards
  • Inspect equipment on regularly basis and perform routine equipment maintenance tasks such as checking fluids, fueling, etc
  • Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations of the site
  • Report all incidents or accidents involving equipment
  • Clean out all trash and refuel machine after each use
  • Assist Site Manager in other tasks as needed
  • Secures special attachments to equipment
  • Wears appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
  • Completes daily paperwork detailing job hours and costs
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Works in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Pick-up/dump truck, skid steers, loaders, pushers and other attachments
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Fast paced environment
  • Field work in conditions including snow, rain, noise, and cold conditions
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including cold temperatures, and snow
  • Work hours are on call including nights and weekends
