Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of snow plowing & removal operations
- Available on a 24/7 basis
- Technical aptitude toward equipment used
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Speak, read, and write English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational Certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating similar equipment
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Massachusetts Hoisting license as applicable
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis

Responsibilities
- The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include: front end loader, skid steer, tenant sweeper, Kubota tractor & attachments
- Operator will use the equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include snow removal, parking lot cleanup & landscape maintenance client sites
- Respond in a timely manner when called or texted to assist in winter operations
- Operate assigned equipment during winter events to clear snow and ice
- Ensure that areas under responsibility are adequately and safely cleared
- Communicate completion of duties to site manager
- Understand and be committed to providing services that meet and/or exceed standards
- Inspect equipment on regularly basis and perform routine equipment maintenance tasks such as checking fluids, fueling, etc
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations of the site
- Report all incidents or accidents involving equipment
- Clean out all trash and refuel machine after each use
- Assist Site Manager in other tasks as needed
- Secures special attachments to equipment
- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Completes daily paperwork detailing job hours and costs
- Complies with all company policies and procedures
- Works in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Pick-up/dump truck, skid steers, loaders, pushers and other attachments
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Fast paced environment
- Field work in conditions including snow, rain, noise, and cold conditions
- Work outdoors in various conditions including cold temperatures, and snow
- Work hours are on call including nights and weekends
