Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of a 4M license in wastewater
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater and 2 years in process control, with a strong understanding of treatment processes and equipment on multiple systems
- Proficiency in process control principles and techniques, with experience in adjusting treatment processes to optimize performance
- Good physical condition with ability to lift and carry 65 lbs
- Active driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Solid mathematical skills and basic ability with computer programs, PLCs, HMIs other operational and monitoring systems
- Ability to work well with others as a team member with a positive, can-do attitude and strong communication and training skills
- Knowledge of various mechanical systems, SCADA associated with the treatment process, pumps and the ability to troubleshoot associated equipment
- Knowledge of environmental regulations governing wastewater treatment, with experience in regulatory compliance and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues on multiple wastewater systems and technologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and regulatory agencies
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement
- Successful candidates will be required to complete background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment

Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring optimal performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- This role is for a lead operator who will help, guide and eventually train other operators once familiar with our systems
- Must be a proactive problem-solver with a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and continuous improvement
- Full time hours are: 8:00am – 4:30pm, with paid on-call rotations
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and processes, including pumps, valves, RBCs, MBRs, filters, and chemical feed systems, etc
- Help other operators with adjustments and trends at their plants and help train new operators
- Monitor wastewater treatment processes, including flow rates, chemical dosages, and treatment performance, and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency and compliance
- Conduct routine tests and analysis on wastewater samples to assess treatment effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to address equipment malfunctions and ensure uninterrupted operation of the facility
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including process data, test results, maintenance activities, and chemical usage
- Prepare reports for regulatory agencies to demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
