Qualifications

•Education and Experience: 

•Must hold valid MA State Masters Electrician License

•High School Diploma or GED Certificate 

•5+ Years of experience in the electrical field 

•Customer service skills 

•3+ Years of management experience 

•Valid Driver’s License 

•Valid Electrical License 

•Physical Requirements: 

•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time 

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or standing at a worksite 

 

Responsibilities

•The Master Electrician oversees our team of electricians and their assigned projects

•The Master Electrician is responsible for balancing labor and material costs while meeting project deadlines and quality standards and visits worksites to audit the project processes and monitor the use of materials, as well as ensuring necessary permits are pulled and work is completed to code. 

•Supervisory Responsibilities: 

•Manages staff in day-to-day performance of their jobs. 

•Supervise and train other electricians on the team

•Proactive – acts without being told what to do , brings new ideas to processes and procedures

•Key responsibilities are installing HVAC, boilers, and generator equipment and proficiency in low voltage control wiring

•Serves as the company’s licensed Master Electrician

•Obtains permits required by law to carry out electrical work for the company

•Inspects and evaluates each project to ensure all code requirements are met

•Coordinates town inspections and meets with inspectors as needed

•Oversees the team of electricians and independent contractors

•Performs installation, repair, and servicing of electrical components

•Works with clients to resolve service and/or installation issues. 

•Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned. 

•Develop technical training and other maintenance practices to help eliminate downtime

•Identify and solve leading downtime contributors

•Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget

•Communicating work progress/changes with the customer, office and/or manager

•Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems

•Ensure you have the proper materials and tools to perform the work at each job safely prior to the scheduled date/time

•Ability to learn and utilize through training a variety of testing and installation of company equipment including Infared cameras, DLRO, TTR, ultrasonic, Megger (insulation resistance)

•Help to maintain tools and trucks in excellent condition
