Qualifications •Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of heavy construction experience, preferably in the civil construction industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience •Proven leadership skills and ability to delegate work •Prior work experience that includes in-depth knowledge of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including paving, concrete, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and/or other utilities is required •Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook •A valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract is required, •Ability to successfully pass a CORI background check or obtain security clearance is required for certain projects •Have or be able to obtain OSHA 10 certification, first aid/CPR certification •Qualified candidates will possess knowledge of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including paving, concrete, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and other utilities and knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction of highways and roads, site work, or other related fields •Are you an exceptional leader with strong communication skills who consistently demonstrates exemplary customer service to effectively build and maintain client relationships? •Do you take pride in successfully managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment? •Do you enjoy tackling problems, proactively anticipating obstacles and reacting quickly to resolve issues?
Responsibilities •As the Construction Supervisor, you demonstrate strong leadership skills and manage all aspects of the WBLC team •You manage the day-to-day operations, such as execution of the work plan, enforcement of project standards, identifying resources needed, assigning individual responsibilities, scheduling, and mitigating risk exposure •You oversee the field construction of projects to complete the work on schedule, within budget, and to the quality of workmanship promised •You oversee and maintain strict control of the project budget, as well as meeting with senior management to review the financial statuses of various projects •As the Construction Supervisor, you have support and access to the parent company of Lawrence-Lynch Corp., our systems, and additional employees •From initial pricing and planning to job completion, you and your team get it done together •You have a full understanding of plans and specifications and ensure that accurate quantities for scopes of work are developed •You may work with LLC employees and subcontractors/suppliers to solicit pricing and participate in project estimating •You take ownership and pride in ensuring that the execution of both private and public construction projects are completed in the safest manner, at the lowest cost, and in compliance with contract documents & client's expectations •With your critically important & visible position, you protect and promote WBLC's interests in all matters •You document all contract influenced information, change orders, tracking of measure, and payment items in a timely fashion, as well as assist in invoice approvals/quantity reconciliations •You have a strong rapport with all Lawrence-Lynch Corp.'s support departments such as dispatch, the garage, asphalt operations, the "On-Island" boat team, etc. in order to maintain open communication and optimal inter-company support
