In an effort to provide you the most up to date information regarding the Massachusetts codes that affect our industry, we have provided a series of links to the DOER (Department of Energy Resources) website that detail the proposed changes to the Stretch Energy Code.
These are not yet law, but are released for public comment. Please consider reviewing them and sharing your comments with the DOER per the directions below.
The Department of Energy Resources (DOER) has released a series of proposed revisions to the Stretch and Specialized codes, covering both commercial and residential sections. These revisions are now available for public comment.
The revisions to the Stretch and Specialized codes are presented here, in both clean and redline versions:

The DOER is seeking public comment on these documents. There will be a Public Hearing on September 16, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM on Zoom. You can register here.
Written comments will be accepted until 5 PM EST on September 17, 2024. Please send an email with written comments on the proposed revisions electronically with the words STRETCH CODE FEEDBACK in the subject line.
