The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all activities required to deliver successful energy efficiency, and capital improvement projects to customers. Projects range from energy audits and engineering studies to comprehensive energy infrastructure construction and implementation contracts. The successful candidate will provide in-house support to the engineering groups during project development, manage project-related strategic alliances and subcontractor relationships and coordinate field related project management, planning, scheduling and budgeting during project implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist energy efficiency engineers during development activities including but not limited to:
- Working with the engineering group to prepare conceptual designs and scopes of work.
- Coordinating contractor walkdowns.
- Preparing project cost estimates, budgets and schedules.
- Performing constructability and risk reviews.
- Participating in R-Process activities, as required.
- Collaborate with engineering in conducting design optimization and value engineering of energy projects.
- Prepare subcontract documentation and coordinate equipment and subcontractor purchasing activities.
- Coordinate and manage project support services including but not limited to: budgeting and scheduling; pre-qualification, selection and management of contractors, subcontractors and equipment vendors; maintaining close contact with the customer; and production of customer deliverables.
- Coordinate field-related project management, planning, scheduling, quality control and risk management issues.
- Coordinate construction contract administration, work-in-progress reporting and the preparation of financial budget updates for management review.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Undergraduate engineering (BE or BS) or construction related degree preferred.
- PE preferred.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience:
- 10 plus years of progressive experience in managing and implementing a range of energy-related projects, including MEP construction projects
- Previous budget/schedule/performance/quality responsibility
- Specific experience with building energy systems and controls, including commissioning of HVAC, Central Utilities and Electrical Systems
- Experience in the overall integration of design engineering, construction, start- up/turnover, and subsequent O&M of energy projects
- Prior HVAC, Electrical or EMCS design experience is a plus

- Strong computer skills including Excel, MS Project and Word
- Auto CAD proficiency a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
