About the JobNorth Shore construction client is seeking an estimator to join their busy operation! Candidate will be reporting to the chief estimator. The hired candidate will take a leadership role on assigned projects and perform a variety of estimating responsibilities including: * Do take-offs for tradework items * Prepare Bid Tabulation Sheets Review scope with interested subcontractors bidding the project * Keep Subcontractor/Supplier List(s) up-to-date Establish and maintain good relationships with subcontractors, architects and engineers * Prepare and send out Invitation to Bid letters * Establish the initial accounting budget for the Project Manager * Assist Project Manager/Project Executive on an as-needed basis * Prepare value engineering suggestions * Prepare budget control reports and budget reconciliation reports
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in building construction in a project management or estimating role(s) and strong ability to read construction drawings. Strong knowledge of building construction processes and sub-contractor selection and management are also essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and excellent verbal and written communication skills are important.
