Qualifications
- Operators must demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, a safety-first mindset, and a genuine desire to work in the utility industry

- Valid Driver’s license
- Valid Massachusetts Operators license
- Ability to pass and maintain Operator Qualifications as assigned
- Ability to pass pre- and post-employment DOT drug screenings
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Ability to obtain satisfactory results of a background check
- Ability to Lift 50lbs independently
- Hand digging as required
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities
- A Gas Utility Operator’s responsibilities include working closely with Foremen and other team members, both inside and outside of equipment, to install gas facilities and other civil infrastructure
- The equipment used includes backhoes, excavators, skid steers, loaders, and more as needed
- Operating proficiently a variety of equipment including but not limited to, backhoes, excavators, loaders, skid steers
- Perform hand digging with a shovel to locate existing utilities
- Use various hand and power tools throughout various projects
- Conduct tool and vehicle maintenance
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Train workers to promote career growth
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate Safe practices by leading by example
- Maintain positive working relationships internally and with external constituents
- It reflects management’s assignment of essential functions, and does not exclude or restrict the tasks that may be assigned
