Qualifications
•The operators need to be proficient in installation of utilities such as water, drainage, sewer, electric, foundations, etc
•This position requires the ability to read and decipher plans, set up lasers, and run grade
•Experience in site utility installation, including drainage, water, sewer, grading, sidewalk prep, asphalt prep, lighting, etc
•Class 2A,1C hoisting license
•Must have 3-5 years’ verifiable experience operating equipment
•Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
•Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to follow direction
•Ability to work unsupervised
•Possess a strong work ethic
•Ability to stoop, kneel crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time
•Must be able to lift 75 pounds
•Must be able to work in all types of weather
•Heavy equipment operation: 3 years (Required)
•Hoisting License (Required)
Responsibilities
•Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various Equipment and tools, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, compactors, rollers, etc. as well as other duties as assigned
•Operators will perform regular maintenance on all tools and equipment, and repair as needed
•Proficient in operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, etc
•Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
•Perform daily equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance on equipment
•This includes checking all fluids and greasing daily
•Inform supervisor of any issues or needs
•Cleaning the machines regularly
•This includes sweeping the cabs, removing trash daily, cleaning the interior weekly, and lubricating doors and windows bi-weekly or as needed
•Attend and participate in daily huddles and safety meetings
•Maintain all industry required Operator qualifications
•Perform other tasks, and manual labor as requested by leadership
•Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
•Report any issues and/or incidents to jobsite foreman
