Qualifications •5 years minimum experience in new build and/or commercial construction - ideally multifamily/affordable housing/passive house experience •Proven experience working as a site supervisor or running your own construction company •Proven abilities with project management, estimating and cost tracking •Sound understanding of plans, specifications, construction methods, materials, building codes and construction safety regulations •Passion and patience for doing things correctly •Interest in green building / sustainability •License to operate a motor vehicle, clean driving record •Must be OSHA 10 certified, or able to obtain certification within 10 business days of employment (SCI will pay any certification costs) •Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S
Responsibilities •Analyze plans to ensure projects meets design, safety, and budget specifications •Provide coordination and execution of the construction team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure milestones are met •Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule •Actively identify schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance •Ensure subcontractors are fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work, follow up and monitor discrepancies and subpar work as needed •Identify areas of work outside of subcontractors scope •Oversees procurement ensuring projects stay within budget and that required material and equipment deliveries align with the schedule •Daily site visits to monitor work, photo document progress and proactively work with the Project Manager to update schedules •Maintain accurate field reports of employee and subcontractor attendance, job site conditions and deliveries •Inspect construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards •Educate site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol •Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol •Coordinate inspections with local and state officials as required •Run pre-con and weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate the work •Ensure timely job closeout and punch list completion •Determine and recommend changes in methods, schedules, and procedures to increase project efficiencies
