Qualifications
- Must be able to complete work abiding by national, state, and local codes, including safety regulations
- Work independently without much instruction
- Perform carpentry duties on an as needed basis
- Must have own tools and reliable transportation
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- 7 plus years of prior experience
- A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Own a full set of tools
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and Construction Supervisor License
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to high quality of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of working long hours in harsh weather conditions
- Good math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 80 pounds
- Physically fit and able to perform various tasks that include standing, climbing, lifting, walking, reaching, crawling, etc
Responsibilities
- The Site Supervisor is a hands-on manager overseeing commercial and residential construction projects
- The Site Supervisor will also supervise the construction team
- The Site Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring safety adherence at all job sites, ensuring building codes are being followed, and inspecting job sites regularly
- At times, the Site Supervisor will be required to have toolbelt time, working alongside the other members of the construction team
- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries
- Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol
- Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed
- Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications
- Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency
- Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
- Managing and mentoring employees, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple crews of 3-6 employees
- Providing adequate resources to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs
- Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures
- Assist company leadership with project staffing projections, staff oversight and staff development
- Manage projects of any size
- Nurture and develop relationships with clients, architects and engineers as well as continually expand your own professional network
- Deliver the highest quality product achievable while maintaining strict adherence to budget parameters set forth by the client
- Assist the Project Manager with change orders and estimates
- Schedule Town Inspections
