Qualifications
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team
- The ideal candidate will have experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and other sitework machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation
- ✔ 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in excavation and sitework
- ✔ Knowledge of grading, trenching, and utility installation
- ✔ Ability to read and understand site plans, blueprints, and grades
- ✔ Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency
- ✅ Valid Driver’s License (Required)
- ✅ OSHA 10 Certification (Required) (We can help you obtain this!)
- Driver's License (Required)
- MA 2A/1C Hoisting License (Required)

Responsibilities
- ✅ Equipment Operation & Earthmoving
- Operate excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers for site preparation
- Perform cutting, grading, trenching, and backfilling operations
- Load, move, and place materials safely and efficiently
- ✅ Utility & Trenching Work
- Excavate for water, sewer, drainage, and other underground utilities
- Maintain proper depths, slopes, and alignments per project specifications
- Follow trench safety regulations and assist with pipe installation
- ✅ Equipment Maintenance & Safety Compliance
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
- Keep equipment clean (See Forman for supplies)
- Weekly equipment inspection sheet turned into Forman (Friday Mornings)
- Report mechanical issues and ensure proper equipment operation. (Check fluids and perform a visual inspection, greasing)
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and participate in toolbox talks
- Work with ground crews and follow hand signals from spotters
- Be able to communicate and work with laborers as a team
- Be able to understand and execute hand signals
