Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years experience operating heavy equipment and trucks in construction or road maintenance, and a thorough knowledge of the operation of Class B CDL vehicles and heavy equipment
- Must have valid Class B Massachusetts CDL and Class 2B Hoisting Engineers License or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Applicants that currently possess the required licenses will be given first preference

Responsibilities
- This position performs a variety of duties associated with the maintenance, repair and construction of DPW assets, including but not limited to: operating a wide variety of vehicles including trucks, plows, tractors, backhoes, front end loaders and similar equipment, using power driven and hand tools, plowing, minor service maintenance to vehicles, excavation, tree work
- Must be available to perform work outside of normal work hours, especially during emergencies and adverse weather conditions
