Qualifications
- Knowledge of construction best practices and building codes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Physically able to handle job-site demands
- Valid Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License
- Habitat for Humanity Competent Person Safety training, within 30 days of hire
- Patience and tact to coordinate subs and volunteers working in an occupied home
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
- Organizational, recordkeeping, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities
- Your skills can build a ramp to help a low-income homeowner stay safely at home; replace the rotted windows on an elderly person's home, or replace the bathroom in a disabled veteran's home
- Conduct initial inspection of proposed project, provide detailed scope of work and accurate bids for projects
- Perform quality carpentry: framing, cabinetry, trim, doors, flooring, stairs, decks, and finishes
- Supervise small number of volunteers on construction-related tasks
- Manage subcontractors for plumbing & heating, electrical, roofing, etc
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and project specs
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other staff, volunteers, and Habitat homeowners
- Maintain organization of tools and materials on site and at storage facilities
- Supervise daily site set-up and clean-up
- Maintain a positive relationship with local municipal departments as well as other state and federal level agencies, vendors, organizations, and corporations that partner with Habitat for Humanity
- Order, pick-up and deliver building supplies as needed
- Other tasks as assigned or as needed for the overall success of the organization
