Qualifications

  • Possess a High School Diploma, Trade School, or Vocational High School Diploma
  • 3 years Commercial/Industrial electrical experience required
  • Have a Massachusetts Journeyman License
  • Be proficient in installing, maintaining, repairing, and testing a variety of electrical equipment
  • Be capable of analyzing and correcting problems with various electrical controls and systems
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • and lift and transport equipment within a team
  • Have good communication, writing, and reading skills
  • I understand that if offered employment, I will be required to complete a Form I-9 and that the Company reserves the right to terminate my employment if said information is processed through E-Verify and I am unable to resolve any discrepancies in my information with the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, or any other applicable government agency

Responsibilities

  • The Industrial Electrician will layout, fabricate, assemble, test, and repair any and all electrical fixtures and equipment throughout the plant and office
  • The Electrician will also estimate time and materials needed on jobs and communicate with his or her supervisor before starting any projects in the plant and office
  • This position is Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with an occasional Saturday
  • There is a 90-day probation period with this position
  • Inspect machinery and equipment frequently
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all facility, grounds, and industrial power and electrical systems
  • Maintains electrical motors, drives, controls, PLC’s, switches, fuses/breakers, lighting, and wiring
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
  • Maintain stock of minor electrical repair parts and notify supervisor of possible shortages
  • Plan and lay out tasks from drawings or blueprints
  • Prioritize work, and follow up on directed assignments
  • Respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics
