Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License (required)
- Knowledge and direct experience in construction, including framing, siding, and insulation
- Experience supervising carpentry crews
- Knowledge of current Massachusetts building code including IECC
- Ability to work with and teach inexperienced volunteers
- Experience with HERS ratings, insulation, and air sealing
- Background working with architects, engineers, and building officials

Responsibilities
- The supervisor will work closely with the Construction Director and other staff to deliver affordable housing solutions while maintaining compliance with regulations and fostering a positive volunteer experience
- Construct new single-family and multi-family homes and rehab existing homes according to regulations and codes
- Supervise and teach volunteers in various construction tasks such as framing, insulating, and landscaping
- Select and coordinate subcontractors for various construction tasks, ensuring valid permits and contracts
- Ensure a positive volunteer experience by providing necessary training and tools
- Teach and monitor safety practices and construction skills on-site
- Plan project site task lists in cooperation with the Construction Director
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and Habitat homeowners
- Organize tools and materials on-site and at storage facilities
- Supervise daily site set-up and clean-up activities
- Maintain positive relationships with local municipal departments and partner organizations
- Order, pick-up, and deliver building supplies as needed
