Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a current hoisting
- The ideal candidate should be able to work with confidence and can work in multiple site settings in the North Shore area with various equipment
- Minimum of 5 years as a heavy equipment operator
- Certifications & Licenses: 2A Hoisting License, DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, Valid Driver’s
- License with clean driving record, OSHA 10, or other OSHA 30 certifications

Responsibilities
- D & M Civil does mostly civil site and utility work and follows all proper safety measures
- D&M Civil Operators will use machinery to perform work at project sites in a safe and efficient manner
- Equipment usage includes excavators, loaders, dozers, articulating rock truck and skid steers
- Operate heavy, motorized equipment used on D&M Civil’s jobs, including, but not limited to, dozers, loaders, excavators, trailers, etc
- Ensure machine’s continuous operations by performing daily inspection on equipment for issues and/or deficiencies
- Reporting any issues and/or needs for maintenance on equipment
- Mass excavation and grading
- Trenches and structures, lay pipe and precast concrete structures, load trucks and back filling trenches
- Place shoring and trench boxes, benching and scoping
- May assist crew, when needed, in operating other equipment and/or helping laborers on the ground
- Knowledge of operational characteristics of heavy, motorized equipment
- Ability to perform a variety of skilled construction tasks
- Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unpredictable and unfavorable weather conditions
- Ability to work independently as well as with other individuals on site
