Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial electrical systems and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Valid Massachusetts electrician’s license
  • Proven experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
  • No travel
  • Electrical wiring: 1 year (Required)
  • Electrical systems: 1 year (Required)
  • Electrical License (Required)
  • Master Electrician (MASSACHUSETTS) (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in the manufacturing facility
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
  • 8 hour shift
