Qualifications •Grade 2 Massachusetts state license for industrial wastewater operators required •High school diploma or GED •Previous experience in a similar role within a wastewater treatment facility or industrial environment •Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and regulatory compliance requirements •Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for analyzing samples and maintaining accurate records •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills •Ability to operate various types of industrial equipment and laboratory instruments •Basic understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to wastewater treatment
Responsibilities •Job Overview: As a Wastewater Operator you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining our wastewater treatment system to ensure safe and compliant operations •You will be responsible for the consistent production of precipitated powders, as well as various composition mix materials and specialty raw materials •This position requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and compliance with regulatory requirements •Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment system in accordance with regulatory standards and company procedures to meet the requirements of production departments and the City of Attleboro discharge permit •Monitor and control the wastewater treatment process, including the operation of pumps, valves, and other equipment, to ensure optimal performance and compliance •Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment, and promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel •Collect and analyze samples to assess water quality and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines •Document and maintain accurate records of operational activities, maintenance tasks, and test results •Produce precipitated powders using all required production and laboratory equipment •Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations •Adhere to safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others •Collaborate with other departments to ensure the efficient flow of materials and compliance with production schedules |
