Time for your Mass. Construction Supervisor License renewal? Don't stress. Here's everything you need to know about your CSL renewal.
CSL Continuing Education
Massachusetts Construction Supervisors are required to complete a specified amount of continuing education hours before they can renew their license:
- If your license begins with CS-: You must complete a total of 12 hours of continuing education every two year renewal cycle. Six of those hours must be in an in-person classroom session. The remaining six hours can be completed online.
- If your license begins with CSFA-: You must complete a total of 10 hours of continuing education every two year renewal cycle. Four of those hours must be in an in-person classroom session. The remaining six hours can be completed online.
- If your license begins with CSSL-: You must complete a total of 6 hours of continuing education every two year renewal cycle. All of these hours can be completed online.

Your continuing education can be complete at any time during your two year renewal cycle.
Mass. Construction Supervisor License Renewal Form
Approximately 45-60 days before your license expiration date, you'll receive your CSL renewal form in the mail.
If you misplaced or never received this form, you can request a new one through your At Leisure account. Simply click on the My Perks tab in the navy blue menu bar of your account, and click the "Request Duplicate Renewal Form" button. Note: You must be enrolled in a Construction Supervisor Continuing Education course in order to access this feature.
Submitting your CSL renewal
Before submitting your Construction Supervisor renewal, you'll need to be prepared with the following:
- Your current renewal form (see section above if you don't have it)
- A copy of your current driver's license (make sure it's not expired or expiring soon)
- Your certificates of completion for your continuing education (you can download these right from your My Courses dashboard if you took your courses with At Leisure)
- Whether or not you're registered as a Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) (see the module in your course titled "Massachusetts CSL Renewal and HIC" for more information on this)
Mail your renewal form along with the necessary documentation and renewal fee to the address on your renewal form. Alternatively, you can renew online or drop your paperwork in person at 1000 Washington St., Suite 710, Boston, MA.
We recommend submitting your renewal a minimum of 30 days before your expiration date to allow the state time for processing.
