Qualifications •2A Hoisting License (at least) •DOT Medical Examiners Certificate •Valid Driver’s License •OSHA 10
Responsibilities •Operators drive, control, and maintain heavy equipment and other necessary machinery in a safe, efficient manner •Operators will work in a fast-paced environments •Excavating trenches and structures, laying pipe and precast concrete structures, loading trucks and back-filling trenches •Placing shoring and trench boxes •Operates a crawler or rubber-tired machine mounted with an excavator bucket •May also be equipped with various hydraulic attachments (e.g. hammers, pipe vacuum) •Performs daily inspection on equipment for issues and / or deficiencies •Completes inspection paperwork daily and notifies the Foreman of any issues / defects •May assist the crew, when needed, in operating other equipment and / or helping the laborers on the ground •Performs other duties as assigned
