Hoisting Operator will have an active Massachusetts Hoisting license from the Engineering division of the Office of Public Safety and Inspection (OPSI). The Hoisting Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and telereach trucks to stack and relocate material. Incumbent must have knowledge of and follow safe work and construction practices including the use of Personal Protective
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
• Checking inventory
• Executing product counts
• Weighing and tagging products
• Using a bar code scanner
• Using a shrink wrapper
• Loading/unloading trucks
• Light cleaning of the warehouse
• Data entry
• Operate Forklifts and/or Telereach machinery as directed and in a safe manner
Qualifications:
• Valid Massachusetts Hoisting License of 1C or greater.
• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Attention to detail and accuracy
Work Environment:
• The warehouse environment is typically in the construction phase and personal protective equipment (PPE) must always be used including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.
• Safety shoes with composite toe reinforcement required.
Responsibilities:
• Operate equipment in a safe manner within OSHA standards.
• Load, unload, and stack products and merchandise.
• Assist in inventory locating, receiving, storing, stocking and shipping merchandise kept in the warehouse.
• Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets, and convey orders to packing station.
• Sort and store materials and products on racks, bins, or shelves according to predetermined sequence or product code.
• All other duties assigned.
Required Experience
• At least 3 year forklift experience.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 75 lbs consecutively.
• Possess basic computer knowledge and good math skills.
• Experience/willingness to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using hand and/or power tools.
• Able to work in fast-paced shop environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment, and follow written and verbal directions.
