Qualifications •Certificate of completion from accredited vocational school, or other curriculum in Plumbing Training Program •High School diploma or GED •Licensure: Current valid driver’s license •Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts MASTER Plumber’s License •Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years documented related work experience in maintenance, repair, construction of plumbing systems in Hospitals, Acute Care Healthcare Facilities, or Ambulatory Care Facilities •Ability to read and understand blue prints, construction schedules, assembly instructions, work orders, operating instructions
Responsibilities •Work Days: M-F, 8 HRS, 7AM - 3PM •You will be a part of a team that supports the safe, continuous daily operations by providing routine maintenance, inspections, alterations and repairs throughout the hospital •Under average supervision and direction, performs all routine and necessary maintenance, repair, construction, installation, renovation on physical plant and building systems plumbing requiring MASTER’S skills •Responsible for Hospital physical plant plumbing equipment, components, systems and materials •Perform maintenance, repairs, construction, installation, renovation to piping, portable water, gas, medial gas, vacuum, sanitary storm systems, components, throughout the facility as directed •Routinely maintains, cleans, monitors conditions of assigned areas •Write and maintain maintenance work orders and material or supply requisitions as needed •Open clogged drains, repair or replace gaskets, fixtures, washers, leaks, tanks, laboratory components, and systems: tests or assists with testing back flow devices: insures adherence to codes, regulations, applies for permits •Perform miscellaneous support inventory as necessary •Performs supervision over plumber helpers, others as directed
