The rights and obligations of the owner, architect, contractor, subcontractors, and other parties on a construction project are specified in the various contracts between them. We all hope that contract performance proceeds smoothly, but we also know that differences of opinion and disputes may arise, resulting in claims between the parties. This course contains four one-hour modules that will teach you the basic rules of contract interpretation and the principles of claims arising from defective specifications, construction delays, and differing site conditions.
- Module 1: The Rules of Contract Interpretation - How to Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say
- Module 2: Defective Specification Claims and Impossibility of Performance
- Module 3: Construction Delays
- Module 4: Differing Site Conditions
