Qualifications •Ability to move into leadership •Must already have or can obtain a FL P.E. license within 3 months of employment •4 -8 years' experience related to structural/residential engineering work •Motivated to develop engineering leaders and evolve the engineering profession •Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ASC, AISC and ACI •Ability to communicate with all levels of professionals •Committed to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence •General knowledge of the construction industry •Working knowledge/experience with CAD drafting programs as well as structural design software and advanced Excel •Strong verbal, written and communication skills
Responsibilities •Train, coach or mentor members of the project team •Coordinate and communicate with Architects/Designers, Truss Manufacturers, MEP Trades, General Contractors and Field Project Managers •Perform structural analysis of frame and masonry building components including foundations, wall and roof structures, evaluating loading cases •Support in the development of construction drawings and specifications •Prepares reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for project •Attends meetings with coordinating parties to resolve structural complexities •Manage project schedules •Researches/Reviews code and permitting requirements for project sites
