Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: High school graduation; three years of experience in highway construction including heavy automotive equipment operation; or any equivalent combination
- Possession of a valid MA Hoisting Engineer License, 2A

- This is a Grade 6 IUOE Local 98 union position with a salary range of $25.62-$33.72/hour
- Pay: $25.62 - $33.72 per hour

Responsibilities
- Major duties include: Assists with street maintenance and repair projects by performing manual work and operating all public works department equipment; Operates all heavy equipment of high complexity; operates excavators, front-end loaders, backhoes, heavy dump trucks, sweepers, light tractors, jack hammers, small rollers, and roadside mowers; operates vehicles providing roadway snow removal and deicing
- Inspects equipment for safety; lubricates and makes minor adjustments to the equipment as necessary; Assists the Mechanic/Truck Driver in servicing automotive equipment as necessary
