Qualifications

  • 10 years construction experience
  • 3 years heavy equipment operator experience
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • DOT Health Card
  • RI Operator License (MA Hoisting License is a bonus)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificate
  • Ability to handle the physical (bending, lifting, climbing, stooping, etc) and environmental (working in heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) demands of the job
  • Knowledge of safety and industry standards including trenching, grades, utility work, etc
  • Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Ability to communicate, understand and follow written and verbal communications in English

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy construction equipment such as skid steers, loaders, excavators, off road dump trucks, etc
  • Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance
  • Manage & oversee the job site crew to ensure safe & accurate work
  • Review and understand site plans and project schedules
  • Supervise and delegate job site tasks per plans
  • Work with GC Site Supervisors to coordinate work and subcontractors
  • Maintain regular communication with our Project Managers
  • Coordinate equipment mobilization and report any issues with equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, meeting all Federal, State and local safety regulations
  • Lead by example including performing operator or laborer tasks as needed
