Qualifications
•Proficient in operating a wide range of heavy equipment, including roll off trucks, backhoes, front loader trucks, concrete mixers, and tankers
•Strong knowledge of equipment operation techniques and safety procedures
•Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
•Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
•MUST have a valid MA Hoisting license
•MUST be able to operate a loader and excavator
•Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Responsibilities
•POSITION SUMMARY: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station for the purpose of transferring, spreading, covering, loading and/or compacting waste or soil in an efficient and safe manner
•Operate various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to roll off trucks, backhoes, front loader trucks, concrete mixers, and tankers
•Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
•Follow safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment
•Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned
