Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer (1C and/or 2A) License and have proven experience working safely and efficiently in trenching environments
- Valid MA Hoisting Engineer License (1C and 2A)
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in trench environments
- Strong knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, and soil conditions
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machinery maintenance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and cranes to execute construction tasks such as trenching, excavation, backfill, and grading efficiently
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Coordinate with foremen, dirt crew members, superintendents and project managers to complete necessary project tasks
- Assist in the setting up of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials
- Support the execution of water and wastewater treatment facility construction projects
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage
- Follow all OSHA, plant-specific, and Waterline Industries safety protocols
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality and safety
- Be hard-working, reliable, show up on time, and be proactive in the face of emergencies
