Qualifications •Candidates must hold a current hoisting •The ideal candidate should be able to work with confidence and can work in multiple site settings in the North Shore area with various equipment •Minimum of 5 years as a heavy equipment operator •Certifications & Licenses: 2A Hoisting License, DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, Valid Driver’s •License with clean driving record, OSHA 10, or other OSHA 30 certifications
Responsibilities •D&M Civil Operators will use machinery to perform work at project sites in a safe and efficient manner •Operate heavy, motorized equipment used on D&M Civil’s jobs, including, but not limited to, dozers, loaders, excavators, trailers, etc •Ensure machine’s continuous operations by performing daily inspection on equipment for issues and/or deficiencies •Reporting any issues and/or needs for maintenance on equipment •Mass excavation and grading •Trenches and structures, lay pipe and precast concrete structures, load trucks and back filling trenches •Place shoring and trench boxes, benching and scoping •May assist crew, when needed, in operating other equipment and/or helping laborers on the ground •Knowledge of operational characteristics of heavy, motorized equipment •Ability to perform a variety of skilled construction tasks •Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unpredictable and unfavorable weather conditions •Ability to work independently as well as with other individuals on site
