Qualifications
- Safety is a top priority for Operators and must have knowledge of safe operation and driving practices to complete obligations
- Position includes a minimum of 8 hours and 6 days
- Depending on a task or job, job duties may be unforeseen 24 hours, 7 days a week, subject to Massachusetts law
- Supervisor contact is subject to company organizational chart and or directed by the CEO
- 1C-2A Hoisting License (at least)
- DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- OSHA 10
- Safety Certifications
Responsibilities
- Operators drive, control, and maintain heavy equipment and other necessary machinery in a safe, efficient manner
- Operators will work in a fast-paced environment
- Operators report directly to the Foreman
- Excavating trenches and structures, laying pipe and precast concrete structures, loading trucks and backfilling trenches
- Placing shoring and trench boxes
- Operates a crawler machine mounted with an excavator bucket
- May also be equipped with various hydraulic attachments (e.g. hammers, pipe vacuum)
- Performs daily inspection paperwork daily and notifies the Foreman/Supervisor of any issues/defects
- May assist the crew, when needed, in operating other equipment and/or helping the laborers on the ground
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Employee travel, travel time, and expense is at employee responsibility, unless directed by the CEO in writing
