Qualifications
- This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate multiple types of heavy machinery effectively and safely
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment in a construction setting is essential
- Mechanical knowledge is required to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- A strong understanding of construction site operations and safety practices is necessary for success in this role
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating strong communication skills

Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators, and will be responsible for performing various tasks on construction sites
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, including backhoes, dump trucks, and graders, to perform excavation and construction tasks
- Dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as required for various construction projects
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment by conducting regular inspections and performing minor repairs as needed
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure project timelines are met
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment on the construction site
- Assist in building structures by moving materials and performing related tasks as directed
