Qualifications •5 years of electrical experience •Understanding of control circuits •Ability to follow industry and equipment manufacturer standard practices and procedures •Basic hand tools to perform trade related repairs and specialty tools will be provided by the employer •State of Massachusetts Journeyman Electrical License •Ability to work on your feet for an 8-hour period, regularly lift 100-lbs, climb ladders regularly and to heights of 30-feet, work on roofs with proper safety equipment, operate a 45-foot boom lift after proper training •Ability to work outside during all types of temperatures and weather conditions
Responsibilities •Position Reports to: Director and Assistant Director of Facilities •The Electrician position is a full-time position for a day shift time of 7am – 3pm •Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures •Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits and equipment, mechanical systems and equipment, fire alarm systems and equipment, HVAC systems and equipment, kitchen systems and equipment, laundry systems and equipment and perform minor plumbing repairs to systems and equipment •Maintain existing and install new electrical components associated with a campus of unique structures and systems •Must have the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documents relating to electrical systems and mechanical equipment •Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the areas outlined above •Performs general maintenance requirements as required
