Qualifications •Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL - Class A or B) •Fork Lift Certificate •Pass the required Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) and background screening •Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test •At lease two (2) years of Commercial Driver License (CDL) experience •At least two (2) years of Hoisting License / Hydraulic License experience •At least two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center •Some experience as a delivery driver making deliveries and pick-ups on time •Operating trucks requiring a CDL license (e.g., performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.) •Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products, etc.) •Maintain basic logs and records •Ability to use navigation technology such as GPS and smartphone, or physical maps if needed
Responsibilities •Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day •Communicates with Fleet and Transportation Manager on the status of the route •Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery using the moffett •Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary •Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested •Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made •Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor •Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed or prior to departure •Performs other related duties as assigned •Availability on weekdays; morning or afternoon shifts
