Responsibilities
- The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the construction activities related to expanding and upgrading our fiber optic network infrastructure
- You will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Work with OSP Fiber vendor to manage schedule
- Managing construction personnel and delegating tasks to meet deadlines
- Performing regular inspections of the construction site to ensure designs are followed, specifications and standards are adhered to, site is kept clean of all debris, garbage, or other hazards
- Manage customer complaints through resolution, interfacing directly with customers as needed and enforcing SLA for contractor resolution of any customer complaints
- Identifying potential safety hazards and managing them accordingly
- Ensuring all personnel comply with health and safety practices, such as wearing the appropriate protective equipment, adhere to safe excavation methods, and abide by any state specific 811/One Call utility requirements
- Organizing work schedules
- Checking work techniques are correct and safe per industry standards
- Assisting Construction Managers with planning work activities
- Completing site reports and other records daily to include production reports
- Attending site management meetings daily
