The Construction Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the day-to-day activities at the assigned job site. S/he is responsible for supervising all laborers, operators and sub-contractors on-site and ensure that the cost, quality, and schedule goals for the job are accomplished through effective use of employees, materials, sub-contractors, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Project Manager, the supervisor will establish work plans, prepare work schedules and employee assignments for each job
- Maintains a safe working environment at all times for crew members and adheres to OSHA safety standards
- Anticipates problems and proactively comes up with solutions
- Ensures that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
- Maintains a daily report record of daily tasks on each project
- Tracks hours of each employee on the project and reports to the office
- Makes sure any tools and materials needed for a project are on site ahead of time
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years’ supervisory experience in site & utility work
- Ability to understand construction documents and plans
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Be able to communicate effectively with crews, management and clients
- Be able to adapt quickly to changes and problem solve
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- A valid driver's license
- DOT Medical Card
- MA Hoisting License
- OSHA 10
