In-Person Classroom Requirements for MA CSL Classes | Full Guide

Massachusetts is bringing back the in-person classroom requirement for MA CSL renewals, and you can get it done easily with At Leisure!

Since COVID-19 began, the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulation and Standards (BBRS) ordered the postponement of all in-class sessions as of April 14, 2020. At that time, the governing body voted to waive the in-class requirement for all renewals submitted 90 days after the end of the state of emergency. While restrictions remained in effect, At Leisure has worked hard to ensure that construction professionals could take care of any MA CSL renewal requirements online to avoid renewal lapses in licensure while offering an online solution to guard everyone's well-being.

As of September 14, 2021, the BBRS is lifting the waiver for continuing education professionals who need to renew their Massachusetts construction supervisors license to return for in-person MA CSL license renewals. As a reminder, according to state regulations, each construction supervisor licensee may only use up to 6 hours of online continuing education credits per renewal cycle. The 90-day grace period ends as of September 13, 2021, so any renewals submitted after September 13, 2021, will require a portion of continuing education credits to be completed in person. Any renewals submitted through September 13, 2021, will be accepted with the full continuing education credits taken online.

With all of this in mind, if it's time for you to renew your license, you'll need to set aside time in your schedule for classroom sessions to get everything in order. At Leisure can help make the process easier for you!

Why Are MA CSL Classes & Continuing Education Necessary?

At Leisure MA CSL Continuing Education Classes focus on various types of construction, including general construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, removal, or demolition of different structures and projects. Such structures and projects include one- and two-family dwellings, masonry, roof covering, windows and doors, solid fuel-burning appliances, demolition, insulation, or a Massachusetts construction supervisor’s license with an unrestricted scope.

The exam you need to take to become a fully licensed construction supervisor in the state of MA is the Unrestricted MA Construction Supervisor License exam. When you schedule your MA CSL renewal classes with At Leisure, we make it easy for you to get the most updated information. Here are a few things to help you easily navigate the process all while getting the most out of your classes.
